How Not to Talk to Your Kids

Interesting article here: http://nymag.com/news/features/27840/

Are you a "praise junkie" like me?

"You're so smart!"

"You're so pretty!"

"You're so good at that."

You may be setting your kids up for failure. Who knew? I may rethink how I praise my children now.

hey lauren.
Thanks for checking in on me and thinking of us. No baby yet. I am due in just over a week. We move into our townhome tomorrow and give me a few days to get settled and I will be all ready for this baby to arrive.
I need to blog, I just don't have it in me..we will actually be without internet for a couple days but I will be back.
How are you all?
I have really enjoyed your last few posts that deal with just being a mom. I find myself rethinking how I compliment johnny and making sure I am sincere and not just tossing out empty statements.
I will be sure to post when the baby comes. take care.

Well, your kids are pretty little, it seems.

You might find yourself to be less of a junkie as they approach their teenage years :-)
