Simple Woman

Daybook FOR TODAY (Thursday - May 21)

Outside my window...a sunny, hot day; a morning glory vine has taken over much of the patio (I don't mind)

I am thinking...about this film. I want to see it.

I am thankful for...a really great family. They are so kind and generous.

From the learning rooms...learning about the months and seasons of the year. Hannah is making a little calendar and drawing pictures for each month. For instance, she drew a picture of James for the month of May, since that is his birthday month.

From the kitchen...easy crispy chicken sandwiches, asparagus and salad for dinner tonight. And I do believe a little mint chip ice cream for dessert will do.

I am wearing...a jean skirt and a green t-shirt. Hannah did my hair this morning so I have a little orange flower barrette in my hair.

I am creating...er, this blog post. :P

I am going...to Mr. Clark's darling wife's baby shower on Saturday. Yay!

I am reading...Jane Eyre. I'm almost done with it and am relishing the last few chapters. Another great classic that I missed in high school because I was too busy not doing my homework and rotting my brain watching MTV.

I am hoping...we have no more car troubles for a while. I won't get into it and give you a list, but it's seriously been one thing after another. Sheesh!

I am hearing...The hum of a fan, Hannah's loud footsteps as she hops about the living room in
her socks, and cute little baby sounds as Phillip goes to sleep nursing. It's more quiet than normal due to the sleeping James.

Around the house...vacuumed floors, laundry to be folded, an (almost) tidy children's room, but a messy kitchen about to get my attention.

One of my favorite things...Hannah when she gets excited. She's looking forward to spending the night with her grandparents on Friday night. Never do I see a sweeter smile than when she has something to look forward too. She just said, "I totally forgot I am going to spend the night tomorrow!"

A few plans for the rest of the week...a little shopping, baby shower.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Doesn't that look fun? Oh to be a kid on warm spring day!

Enjoy the baby shower! Sigh!

And, I love the feet photo.

I also read "Jane Eyre" as an adult, I don't remember it being assigned and I skipped it, I just think it wasn't assigned.

Jane Eyre
I do recall hating that book my sophomore year. Perhaps the classics should not be wasted on silly sophomores in high school... do you promise it's good? Perhaps I will add it to my to-read list. I only have at least 10 books already here ; )
That movie... seems interesting; maybe I should find it & we can have a movie day before my husband moves us back to Long Beach : ) :
