last days of may [thank goodness]

Oy, what a month May is. The weather is mostly perfect with some more perfect. But oh, this was a fantastically busy month. On top of our car issues here is a list of the happenings that happened to have happened this May:
a couple of handfuls of family and friend's birthdays
james turned two
uncle jeff turned 22
phillip got baptised
our priest's daughter got baptised
finished two books, the latest was this - i loved it and recommend it highly.
hannah earned a bowl full of fish for good behaviour
jason re tiled our one and only shower - that was interesting as the project got started, then postponed for a week.
jason and i celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary...woohoo!
baby showers
new babies born to friends....hurrah!
phillip suddenly got huge and is dipping into his bro's diaper stash
and more and more life

Overall, May was a beautiful month, just a little more busy than the S Family prefers. You know, we have introvert tendencies!

Today we're getting ready for the Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord. Joyous Feast!

see? he's enormous.the girl did this on memorial day, which turned out to be a nice day after all despite her having not looked forward to it. on sunday night we informed that "tomorrow is a holiday! daddy will be home!" she asked with suspicion, "what holiday?" jason said "memorial day." Her response was, "OH NO! NOT DIMMORIAL DAY!"

but it turned out that bbq chicken, corn on the cob, a filled up kiddie pool, riding a bike she finally grew into (a year later) and a visit from grandparents made the day tolerable after all.

What a busy month! I can't believe how HUGE your "little" guy is :) Mama has some good milk! I hope June is as happy, but maybe a little calmer.
